A rite of passage for anyone attending Coffee Fest is this espresso class. Originally led by Dr John and now continued by his son, this class has influenced a generation of coffee house owners, managers, and baristas.
While the trend today is to treat espresso as “just another brew method,” anyone who has tasted True Espresso knows that’s not the case. True Espresso is a vastly superior beverage compared to brewed coffee. When done the right way, espresso will be sweeter and creamier in a way that brewed coffee can never be. As a result, lattes and cappuccinos that start with True Espresso- rather than the bitter or sour liquid that far too many coffee houses produce- need little sugar or other adulteration to taste delicious.
