International Orders: FAQs

“One of the greatest espresso blends on the planet…” [CoffeeRatings.com]

We regularly ship orders for Malabar GoldĀ® Espresso to customers outside the United States. As of this update (August 2020), customers tell us that working with a Parcel Forwarding Service (PFS) is what currently works best.

PFS’s give foreigners a US address for receiving online purchases and then ship those packages abroad via FedEx, DHL, or UPS. This minimizes both the high cost of international shipping and time in transit.

Here’s how to buy Malabar GoldĀ® using a Parcel Forwarding Service:

  1. Set up an online account with your preferred PFS. We know of two (Planet Express and Shipito) with warehouses in the same state as us. These would receive beans the soonest after our weekly roast compared to those on the other side of the USA.

  2. Place an order through our Online Store. Use the PFS warehouse address (along with the box/mailing code they provide you) as the Shipping Address for your order. Orders placed by 12pm (Pacific Time) on Friday will roast/ship on Monday.

  3. Arrange for the cross-border shipment (through your online PFS account) once beans reach the PFS warehouse. Warehouses in California or Oregon should get beans on Wednesdays (i.e. two days after the roast).

Most customers report that the total cost (i.e. what they pay Josuma and the PFS) typically runs US$90-105 for five-pound orders and US$140-160 for ten-pound orders.

Note: Ordering the “packed in 1# bags” option allows for better bean storage and/or the ability to share beans if buying with friends.
